OUR STORY
From meeting on a catamaran to Forever by the sea, we’re thrilled to celebrate our love with those who mean the most to we.
Ayla and Sebastiaan met each other on July 2017 at the Yachtweek Croatia, a floating festival. The year following they continued their friendship. In 2018, they decided to go again to the Yachtweek, this time in Greece, where they were on the same boat. This trip is where their love story started.
Ayla joined Sebastiaan on a business trip to London. During that trip someone asked: “How long have you been together?” and that’s where they decided… today! December 1, 2018. After that, things moved quickly. Sebastiaan went to Mexico where he met Ayla’s great love: her grandmother, who was 107 years old at the time. In April, Ayla received the keys to her apartment in Rotterdam, where they spent lots of time together.
In 2020, during Covid, they decided to buy a house together. Naturally, they ended up in Barendrecht, in a neighborhood built in the shape of a ship. It was clear, this is meant to be.
In October 2024, Sebastiaan joined Ayla on her business trip to Barcelona where he asked her to marry her. Of course, extremly happy she said yes!

Dress code: formal, black-tie optional (women in long dresses, men in suit or tuxedo, no white or ivory).

We would love for everyone to stay at the same resort as us, Hilton Cancun.
The Idea is enjoy the hotel facilities, the beach, the pool and relive the day before on Sunday 26 of April. If you are not staying at the Hilton, you can buy a day pass. Keep in mind that these are not guaranteed and are only granted if there is enough availability.
If you prefer to book another hotel, please be aware of the distances as we do not provide transportation from other hotels to our event locations.
To guarantee a room at the resort, we recommend to book through our travel agent. With a 200 USD deposit you are guaranteed with a special rate that applies at the time of booking (usually around 400-450 USD per night, all-inclusive premium meals & drinks). You can cancel your trip free of charge up to 5 days before arrival. Please note, the later you book, the higher the room price may be. If we have enough bookings, the price may be lower due to a group booking discount, but never higher.
